Farm Life & Country Life Have Positive Effects in my Wedding Photography

If you told me a few years ago that I would be living in Ireland today I wouldn’t have believed you. I’m a sunshine girl from California who had lived in Hawaii for a few years in my life. I love the beach and the sun combined. New York was tough enough to stick, but at least you are guaranteed an actual summer there. Oof! Who knew that ducks & hens in muddy pens, watching cows calf, and lighting a fire each night would be my cuppa tea?

But here I am and I truly love it! Life can take you by beautiful surprises and when it does I try to run with it. Ireland is a breath of fresh air for me, my family and my nervous system. We live on a hill, on a farm, and near the beach. We live near so many loved ones it is wonderfully overwhelming in the best way.

How does this translate to photography? Well, it gives me the mental clarity and freedom that I’ve been craving for so long. A simple life on the farm and in the country suits me to my core. It has shaken the cobwebs from my brain and has made more room for creative freedom. I am in love with where we live. And it’s not just about the scenery and the fresh air. I am blessed to have landed in one of the most special & creative communities I’ve ever known. I could be biased, but all I know is I’m gonna run with this one for sure.
